Have you filled a bucket today?
Our class practices being bucket fillers every day. What is bucket filling, you ask? Basically, it's just showing others that you care about them and respect them. Pretty easy concept, right? We think so!
You can be a bucket filler in many different ways. For example, saying or doing something kind, smiling, using names with respect, helping without being asked, and giving a compliment. There are hundreds of wonderful ways to fill buckets. The best part is, when you fill someone else's bucket, you are also filling your own! When a person's bucket is full, they feel happy, content, and satisfied.
Do not be a bucket dipper. Saying or doing unkind things, making fun of someone, refusing to help, being intentionally disrespectful or failing to show respect are ways to dip into another's bucket. Doing so hurts others. When a person's bucket is empty, they are unhappy. Take responsibility and apologize for these behaviors. Then do better the next time.
